Lou Groza Kicker of the Year Award
Kornblue Kicking has been linked with the Lou Groza
Award since its inception in 1992. The Lou Groza Award
is given annually to the top collegiate kicker in
the country. Because the award is presented by the
Palm Beach County Sports Commission, it also awards
the top high school kicker in Palm Beach County, FL.
As a high school senior in 1994, Brandon Kornblue
received the Lou Groza Award for his on-the-field
achievements at Boca Raton High School. In subsequent
years, Kornblue was instrumental in the development
of three more kickers from Boca High who would go
on to win the local award:
David Pavich - 1996 (Kent State)
Tony Ciaravino - 2003 (Connecticut)
Sal Dimauro - 2006 (UCF)
The relationship continues as an invitation was accepted
by Kornblue Kicking in 2008 to be part of the official
voting committee for the Collegiate Kicker of the
Year Award.
This year's annual Lou Groza Awards banquet will be
held at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, FL,
on December 8, 2009. The three collegiate award finalists
will be in attendance along with other special guests.
A free kicking clinic will be offered on Monday, Dec.
7 @ 2:45 p.m. For more information on the event please
